UndocuAmerica aims to interrupt the dehumanizing portrayals of immigrants by elevating the stories of people who are undocumented, and encouraging thoughtful engagement on the challenges facing the undocumented community and the assets immigrants bring to our country.

The JustUs project supports community leaders who are impacted by carceral systems to share artfully crafted autobiographical monologues that expose the devastating impact of the criminal legal system and inspire action towards a vision of true justice.

Motus Playback Improv theater

Motus Playback Improv Theater is a Colorado-based, culturally diverse improv troupe focused on community healing, particularly for BIPOC and immigrant communities, by using improvisational performances to reenact real-life stories shared by the audience, often incorporating musical and poetic elements to address issues like racial trauma and social injustice.

Women of Resolution

Women of Resolution features the stories of four Colorado women who sought sanctuary to prevent being separated from their families through deportation. This performance helps audiences understand the challenges facing immigrants who are undocumented and the love of family and justice that inspires them not to give up.

Rocks Karma Arrows

Rocks Karma Arrows is a film of Motus’ multimedia contemporary theater piece exploring Boulder history through the lens of race and class. Historical figures, like the great Chief Niwot (Nowoo3, pronounced “Na-waath”), come alive to tell the story of the early founding of Boulder and the massacre at Sand Creek.
